  1. Can someone help?
I’m trying to root my Redmi 2 Pro but I’m unsure if I have to unlock bootloader or not; my device wasn’t supposed to have a locked bootloader, since that was implemented after Redmi 2 realease, but my device does have the “Unlock OEM” option under developers settings.

Problem is, it does NOT have the “Mi Unlock Status” and trying to unlock it through pc didn’t work either, error at 99% says “Can’t verify basic files….”

So I’m lost with that and don’t know how to proceed. I’ve saw videos skipping bootloader completely and others unlocking it, but those had the mi status option, and the first didn’t had any of the options at all… Any thoughts?

Could I just proceed with TWRP and magisk?
